“Dear Heavenly Father,
I praise the all-knowing and all-seeing One! You see the broken world we live in. It says in your word that you promised to never leave us and that you would supply all our needs according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Lord, I see all the un-met needs surrounding me and my heart is burdened by them. Open my eyes to meet the needs I can meet. Help me to never become numb, callous or cold when I see an open hand.
Make room in my heart for those who are not family…as we are called to be your hands and feet. This means if I am able to do something, even if it’s a simple gesture of humanity, I should. By the power of the Holy Spirit that lives inside of me give me wisdom and discernment to know exactly which people I am supposed to help and which people I’m supposed to simply pray for. Because, Lord, I’m not you and I’m not called to do it all.
Lord, you know my limitations (financial, stress, time) and I know you consider all things. Help me not to look for loopholes to escape your divine calling of a tender, generous heart.
You gave it all so I could be free to share from the overflow of all my blessings. Help me not to be greedy, hoarding things, time and effort you meant for me to share. Don’t allow me to have peace for keeping anything that should be given away to bless others.
Let my soul remain content as I please you with every gift of sacrifice. Blessing your heart is my number one goal. In Jesus’ name thank you for my health and the abundance you’ve given so I can share. Increase both because the more I’m blessed, the more others (around me) will be blessed.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
