“Dear Heavenly Father,
You ‘re the God of the universe…there’s no greater source of wisdom than you!
I’m so blessed that you are my Father and that I can come to you with my needs and worries.
The older I get the more I realize, how little I know and how much I need you.
In the past, I declined to admit my dependence…but that way of thinking has led to many troubles…ones that could have been avoided.
Wasting my life making mistakes that don’t need to be made is foolish! With every downfall, give me the tenacity to grow and learn. I want to be wise even with my follies!
Thank you for a humble and teachable spirit; I know I can always expand my wisdom if I am open to learning.
Lord, it says in your word that the weak and the foolish things of the world will confound the wise. I don’t see myself as strong or particularly gifted, but I know with you anything is possible. Help strengthen me to see and understand my position in Christ. Help me to make calm, level-headed, spirit-filled decisions. In the past, I let fear of man and peer pressure lead me but today, I am committing to following your peace.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
