“Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the gift of relationship! This wonderful blessing fills life with color, purpose and passion.
Lord, I long to share my life with the right person…the one you’ve chosen for me.
I repent for trying to do things in my own way and in my own time.
In the past, I’ve gotten sidetracked by the wrong things. I need you to guide my feet, to reel in my impulses and to help me make choices that honor where you want to take me. Lord, give me wisdom that exceeds my natural limitations.
There’s a call on my life so it’s crucial to join with the right help-mate, one who is walking in the same direction and has similar intentions. I don’t want to waste any more of my time so help me see past the surface and understand the heart of those looking to court me.
Keep my heart open but wise. Fill me with confidence so I won’t accept less than God’s best for me. Give me the grace and the courage to let go of those who aren’t right so I can make room for the right one.
Bless me with patience and prepare my life-mate as I wait on you.
