On February 10th, 2021, I had an incredible dream. You can read more about this in my post here:
https://abbasheart.net/abbas_journal/the-spirit-behind-the-law-of-attraction-and-universalism/
For some reason, as I journaled this out, I felt prompted to ask God what drove most people to search for the Spirit of Universalism and the Law of Attraction. I heard, ‘The Spirit of Religion’ so of course, I asked God to tell me more. This is what I journaled:
Lord, please tell me more about the Spirit of Religion:
“The Spirit of Religion creates a dynamic-where one never feels as if they are good enough to please to me. There’s a sense of ‘earning favor’. It’s akin to a frightened, overworked peasant hoping she has done enough to earn her keep. This is meant to enslave with guilt and condemnation, searching for approval that will never be satisfied.
The Spirit of Religion partners with the Poverty Spirit which carries a ‘tit for tat’ mentality, preventing you from ever fully receiving from a generous heart. It twists the heart behind my words, stripping my unconditional love. It creates ‘false conditions’, implying if you obey and perfect your ways then and only then do you have my approval. This spirit destabilizes anyone believing its lies, creating continual unrest because you are never able to fully relax and receive my love (for you are much too busy earning it).
This Spirit is the polar opposite from the Spirit behind Universalism and the Law of Attraction. Although they operate differently, both have the same goal: to Deceive and Steal man’s Intimacy with God.
For example: When one has been oppressed by The Spirit of Religion, he/she becomes attracted to freedom. This natural desire becomes twisted when one does not humble himself, asking what I have to say. You must separate Religion from My Spirit. I am God. I am not religion. I desire to lead you with love and truth, but this can only happen when you have a Heart of Repentance and a Spirit of Humility.
Another example: When one has been busy ‘Manifesting’ the life they desire by bowing to the Law of Attraction, they do so with limited perspective and are tapping into a source that is far from heavenly. Many of these deceived will receive trinkets in this life but will miss out on the eternal blessing of my presence. Universalism opens the door to eternal darkness and separation from God. When someone crowns themselves his/her own god, I will give them what they desire. Of course, this is not what I want but I will never override man’s free-will. The Spirit of Pride and Control will prevent true freedom and success. But, if a person comes to me, there is no sorrow attached to the blessings I’ve reserved just for them.”
Prayer of repentance for not trusting God:
“Lord, your mercy floods my heart with thankfulness. You never turned your heart from me, like I have done to you. You’ve never forsaken your beloved.
My spirit aches for what I’ve done to your heart; I mistook the man-made rules of religion for my loving Heavenly Father.
Lord, you are not a bunch of rules! You are the ruler of the Universe! The maker of every good thing. Forgive me for losing focus and becoming distracted by the lovely trinkets this world has to offer.
From this point on, help me to remember to ask you to provide for all my needs. Give me the patience to wait for your supply.
I will not look to be fed by the enemy of my soul who would love me to be full and satisfied in my flesh but empty and depleted in my spirit.
Today, I cast down all the lies and I bow to the God of Truth who loved me so much He sent His Beloved to die on my behalf. I will not settle for anything but the abundant sustenance of my kind and generous Heavenly Father. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
