Next steps for those coming out of the Strip Club

February 20, 2025

The best advice I can give is what worked for me.

When I first asked Jesus into my heart, He had me unfollow all influences (on every platform. Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, YouTube, whatever) that were not of God. Obvious witchcraft things such as: tarot readers, any psychic stuff, twin flames advise, horoscope channels, crystal and reiki healers…even horror and true crime.

The reason we need to unfollow all sources not from God is they create so much spiritual confusion. We are giving up the worldly way of controlling outcomes and allowing God to lead. A life in Christ means we submit to Him and His ways.

Search to know God as your Father, Savior and friend.  It’s a process but always keep in mind this is not about religion but about developing a personal relationship with God. The whole point is trusting God, putting your faith in Him and developing a relationship with Him so He can guide you into His plan for your life.

God is NOT a genie in a bottle to be controlled.  Making things happen by your own will is what got you into a dark place.

Basically, God wants to cleanse your palate and clear your mental space so He can fill it with good things. (Philippians 4:8)

Listening to praise and worship music does wonders for your spirit. It will increase your joy and hope. I’ve experienced deliverance just by listening to worship music and God ministering to my heart! (Look up Bethel Music; this is a good place to start.)

In your daily personal walk with God, read the Bible for this IS His voice. It’s how He speaks to us. (John 1:1)

Start in the New Testament, the book of John. (Which are the words of Jesus.) The reason why I say this is so that you can know the person you are putting your trust in.

Next, read the book of Romans as this will help you understand the creed of a Christian (what we believe and how we are instructed to live).

Next, read the book of Acts as this explains the power of the Holy Spirit. (The one who speaks to your heart will also guide and convict you of sin so you can change your ways)

The most important thing is to get in with a SOLID Bible believing church (Calvary Chapel has sound doctrine so look for those in your area) and make sure to get connected with your church community.  Set up an appointment with the Pastor and his wife for counseling.

As we develop our prayer life (communicating with God), He gives us spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear in a whole new way.

The reason why it’s so important for you to cultivate your own relationship with God is only HE has the wisdom to direct your life.  He did this for me when I had nobody to show me a way out of the life I was living and, He will do the same for you.

The bottom line is, there is no set ‘formula’ for getting what you want or need.  It is about learning to trust in God as our Father, protector and provider. He wants to lead your life and be the voice you go to.  Man and woman can never take the place of God’s voice.

People can certainly point the way, but you must walk the path of learning to lean on Him. This is the journey of every Believer.  This is not about religion or religious activity.  It is about discovering God’s desire to love you and lead you into your identity. Only God has the answers to why He designed you with certain gifts, talents and qualities.

The enemy has shrouded your identity, and God will strip away all false belief systems and coping mechanisms as you allow Him.  He always gives you the ability to choose how far you will go with Him.

Here is a list of spiritual Warfare books I recommend you get:
