A friend who is a New Believer asked me about some accounts she follows on Tik Tok. I was alerted to many people carrying a witchcraft spirit calling themselves Christians. Alarm bells began going off as there is something about Creators who focus too much on the Kingdom Spouse themes feel very off to me. It’s like a Christian version of twin flames. People want answers for their life…and desire immediate gratification. I don’t think following any person like this will draw you closer to God or even provide clarity.
Starting off every video with “I don’t know who this is for…is making things so general and your Flesh will follow the advice that Feels Good to you. How do you know what is for you as each message can be conflicting advice? What’s your measure of discernment?
A relationship with Christ is not about following what feels good to you; it’s about learning to discern the voice of God which will provide wisdom beyond immediate gratification. As I often tell all of you who follow my channel, don’t just take my word. Read THE word! Take everything and put it through the filter of the Holy Bible. If any person’s words contradict, don’t take that information in. God will move you to change, let go or even abstain from certain activities and relationships.
He isn’t in the business of keeping you comfortable. He desires to rebuild you from the ground up. When a person first comes to salvation, I never recommend listening to anyone speaking ‘God’s words’ into their life. Every person needs to get to know God’s voice by soaking in the word of God. I suggest getting an audio Bible and listening to that on a continual and regular basis. Why do I recommend this? Because this is what the Bible says:
“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:8
How did I get to learn God’s heart and hear His voice for myself? I didn’t take short cuts and just let any random person on the internet who says they love Jesus (and who knows where their heart really is…do they want money? Clout? Instant Trust so they use the name of Jesus for their own hidden agendas?)
As wise women we must cultivate discernment for ourselves. This is why reading, memorizing, honoring and knowing God’s word is so crucial. In this noisy world, we must learn to follow God. Never blindly trust anyone or you might fall into a trap. Not a man or woman. Even me! Jesus changed my life because I trusted in Him, followed the word and left all that immediate gratification stuff behind. The more I read God’s word, the clearer my path got.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
This is a whole new way of looking at life. But that’s the point! In the past, many of you have followed the advice of tarot readers, horoscope, reiki healers, yogi masters. Today you must give God a FULL chance. He doesn’t want to share your attention and affection with other voices and people.
This can be confusing as there are many people who claim to love Jesus but are operating in a spirit of manipulation. The only way you are going to learn how to discern these spirits is by leaning on the Holy Spirit, soaking in the word and being in a company of other Believers who truly love and serve God.
As you can imagine, when you first walk into a church, you will meet many people. Some are new Believers who aren’t strong in their walk. This is not to scare you but to make you aware that not every person who claims to be a Christian should have permission to speak into your life. Some are just as lost and confused as you are!
The Bible says:
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1
The friends I choose to be in my life don’t just talk the Jesus talk. They walk (or live) the Jesus walk. This why I value what they say. We need genuine people who want to live like Jesus to help us do this great confusing thing called life! Remember this is not about religion or religious activities…this is about a personal relationship with Jesus. Good people will help us stay on the right path. I felt it was important, I don’t have all the answers. I’m just sharing what God has taught me to help you avoid pain and pitfalls. Sometimes we still need to go through things (learn the hard way) but no matter what, don’t give up on God. He is fighting for you.
“Heavenly Father,
I’ve asked Jesus into my heart and given Him my life.
At first, I wasn’t clear on what this would entail.
But, now I understand that Jesus wants my Heart to fully trust in Him and Him alone.
When I look to others for answers to my life, I am not trusting Jesus to lead me into all truth.
I repent for turning to any other person, oracle, practice, mantra, leader, teacher or guide.
Forgive me for allowing fear or immediate gratification to rule my choices and shape my life.
I’ve been ruled by chaos, and I need you to quiet the storm and show me the way out and through.
Today, I ask for a baptism of your Holy Spirit.
Wash me clean of all spiritual defilement. Give me a baptism of your Holy Spirit.
Quench the strength of my flesh with your fire of love and help me to burn with a passion to follow you all the days of my life.
Give me the kind of wisdom which goes beyond my natural intelligence.
Carve a path of life for my steps and lead me into your Truth.
Let every past temptation looking to take me off course, be a stake in the ground. For there is no going back!
Today I decide to give you all I am and all I have for this is the best investment I could ever make.
I trade all my fear and need for answers for a greater trust in you, Lord.
In Jesus’ name and for His glory, this is just the beginning of my story, Amen.”
