“You have been chosen and destined by God.” 1 Peter 1:2
I dedicate this to my friend Lauren Hasson. God has used her as a pivotal force in my life and through her mentorship, I received a wealth of understanding on how to foster close communication with God. She has created a guide to experiencing God’s healing in a very profound way. This is what we will be discussing today.
Transformation takes time but it also takes Intention. The first thing the Enemy will do when you come to Jesus for Inner Healing, he will attack your mind with Shame and Un-Worthiness. We must begin with making a Choice to Choose Christ’s Love and say NO to Shame.
Step 1:
- The moment you experience feelings of shame and unworthiness, Take Your Authority by saying, “I see you. I do not receive you. You don’t belong in my heart, and you must leave in Jesus’ name.”
- Ask Jesus to be with you and only continue until you feel the peace of Jesus.
- Declare: “I am Chosen, Loved and a Righteous Child of God. I will only listen to my Shephard’s voice.”
Step 2:
- Bring your concern, worry, fear and pain to Jesus and invite Him into it.
- Pay attention to physiological changes like cortisol and adrenaline release which will show up as rapid breathing and racing heartrate. Validate your physical experience. Don’t fight, deny or try and push it down.
- Breathe Deeply and Picture Jesus with you.
Step 3:
- Your trigger reflects your feelings.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate the reason for them.
- Pay attention to initial impressions.
- Pain often accompanies these memories. Allow yourself to feel the pain, you will not remain there.
- Picture Jesus holding you in those moments, breathe in his embrace, love, security and protection.
Accepting the intensity of the feelings in the moment is a powerful act that will move us to wholeness.
Things to Remember:
Don’t try and clean yourself up before approaching Jesus for healing. He is the Healer, not you.
- Journal your current state, no holds barred.
- Ask Father God what you need and what does He have to show you?
- Invite Jesus into your anxiety, fear, frustration and mistrust and Journal that out honestly.
- Let your journal be an honest conversation. Listen for what God is saying and write out how He is comforting you.
If you’re ready to get un-stuck, this is your prayer:
“Heavenly Father,
My heart is broken. Something’s missing and I need your help. I feel stuck.
Today, I’ve decided will not push down the pain or pretend it’s not there…not when you’re here!
You promised me healing, hope and blessing.
I’m ready to go for every good thing you have.
When I bring you my pain, I expect you’ll meet me in it.
You will walk me to the other side.
There is no reason for me to hide.
Thank you, Lord for your amazing grace.
I trust you alone to resurrect every dead place.
In my heart, mind, memory and body.
Your sacrifice of love, died to set me free and I will not remain in misery.
I praise you, Lord for you’re my Victory!
The enemy has no power when take my authority.
In the name of Jesus,
I claim my healing.
I will go where you want me to go and do what you’ve called me to do, because others are counting on me to point to you.
Let hope arise. Let my healing begin.
For in you alone, I win. Amen.”
