Chat GPT VS Holy Spirit

December 2, 2025

What has been resonating with me for quite some time is the Holy Spirit will not give me license to ask CGPT certain questions. I’ll go, “Oh, I wonder about this.” And I’ll feel the Holy Spirit say, don’t ask Chat GPT. Ask me.

It’s not because Chat GPT is going to say something bad or demonic. It’s because the Lord wants me to ask Him. Sometimes there’s things you could look up in Google, like statistic questions or drug interaction questions.

But then there’s life advice, like, “What would you do in a circumstance like this?” The kinds of things we would ask our Heavenly Father or even our earthly Father advice on. Those are the questions that should be reserved for our relationship building with the Holy Spirit.

If we automatically go to CGPT, what ends up happening is we build a habit of our default going to CGPT instead of our default, go to our heavenly Father.

I personally don’t want to build a habit that I’m going to have to break. I don’t want to become dependent on something that I know will be part of the great deception, because that is exactly what’s going happen. The whole world is going to be under a great deception.

Right now, many are becoming addicted to relying on Chat GPT for advice and at some point, things are going to shift. The info that will be fed to chat GPT and will be peppered with deception. And what started off as a bit off, can get way off course.

The Lord put it on my heart, just come to Him for personal questions and advice. He also reminded me when Saul was waiting upon Samuel to build the altar and make a sacrifice unto the Lord.  You can read the whole account in 1 Samuel 13:1-13

Samuel was taking too long. (According to Saul) Saul got impatient, and then just threw up the altar and did the sacrifice himself. Dishonoring God’s orders and instructions. God was so angry that he said, you know, I’m done with you.

Saul started out ready to do things God’s way but then got impatient and moved in his own power, which was his flesh. He wasn’t waiting upon God’s time. He wanted to do it in his time. I think we all do that. But do we realize how dangerous this can be?  It cost Saul his kingdom!

If we get so impatient that we’re not willing to wait upon God, the enemy will always send an answer. In fact, if we are that desperate it will be EASY to take us off track. If we’re desperate for a quick answer, in our time frame, the Enemy will send us one and it won’t be the right one. God’s people don’t just need an answer. We need God’s wisdom because when we wait upon Him, He blesses us and will not add sorrow to it.

The Enemy wants us to miss God’s instructions, also that precious time where we are building endurance, patience and trust in God. These are intangible gifts that are cultivated through relationship, not instant gratification.

We are coming upon dark times of great deception.  It’s more crucial that God’s people get attuned to His voice, not become common and listen to what the masses are allowing to run their lives and choices.  We need to be okay with not keeping up with culture so we can lead people what they really need.  An encounter with the God who created them for a purpose, not to be a carbon copy of everyone else.

“And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappointing because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Romans 5:3-5

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” 1 Peter2:9

1 Samuel 13:1-13
