Because we serve a God who does things decently and in order, and we know the physical realm is a reflection of the spirit realm, it is not a stretch to believe God has a justice system. In fact, eternity is set upon it. As we learn our Authority in Christ and understand the power of taking Dominion over all entrusted to us, we have the power to call things that cannot be seen into existence. This is exercising our faith, which is true empowerment.
It seems that even though the commission to Believers is to execute the judgment against the enemy while we are on the earth, things have been turned around and the enemy is using the authority of the Word of God to get judgment executed against us. What a tragedy! Satan can bring accusations against us because of our words, with our sin used as evidence in the courtroom of Heaven. We may not be aware of where the attack is coming from, and won’t seem to be able to get relief from our problems.
The truth is we cannot exercise our authority and achieve dominion over Him unless we are in right standing before the Lord. Let me encourage you to show up where you aren’t expected, where your adversary the Accuser is playing the part of the Prosecuting Attorney presenting his case. As Believers, our purpose in the Courtroom of Heaven is to make intercession as an Ambassador of Reconciliation, to stand in the gap on behalf of humans, regions, governments, nations, or any other case the Lord leads.
Here are the Participants in the Heavenly Courtroom:
1.The Righteous Judge- who is Lord
2. Prosecuting Attorney- Accuser of the brethren
3. The Defendant-The victim or prey
4. The Ambassador of Reconciliation-Intercessor Believer
5. The Advocate-Jesus
The Heavenly Courtroom can be compared to a courtroom on earth. When cases are brought before a judge, specific laws and conditions determine the direction they take. It is the same in the Courtroom of Heaven. A judge on earth takes an oath to uphold the law of the land and to judge fairly to the best of his ability. Even so, there is opportunity for corruption and injustice. But in heaven, the truth will prevail.
“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Mercy and Truth go before your face.” Psalm 89:14
“Against You, You only, have I sinned and done that which is evil in Your sight, So that you are justified when you speak an faultless in your judgement.” Psalm 51:4
If you feel you have been a victim of injustice, pray and take your case into the Courtroom of Heaven. Ask the Judge for justice in the form of compensation of wrong done to you. Seek the Holy Spirit for what to ask for as compensation; He will be faithful to speak to you. Ask for repayment of all that has been stolen and for justice to be rendered on your behalf. As Believers, we can go boldly into court, knowing the price has been paid in full. Once you have taken your case into the Real Supreme Court, you will feel a huge burden lift and you can be assured the law of God will begin to work on behalf of your petition.
Now if the enemy should come to me and accuse me of anything, I no longer wase time rebuking or binding him. I immediately go to the Lord and repent and ask forgiveness for any sins I may have committed. If the enemy wants to torment you or accuse you in any way, don’t waste time with him—take it to the Judge and get it settled. This will defeat the demonic accuser, turn the tables on him, and settle the case out of court. If he is accusing you of some other sin, you have committed that you haven’t yet repented or asked for forgiveness, don’t rebuke him. Humbly agree. Thank him and tell him to stay put to be a witness as you repent to God and ask forgiveness, covering your forgiven sin with the blood of Jesus. Tell him he can no longer torment you as your sins have been expunged.
Remember, our words and our judgement of others can bring a curse upon us. The enemy doesn’t have to work very hard to get dirt on us; he only needs to hang around for a while and listen to what we are saying.
“A man’s self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of if.” Proverbs 18:20
“A fools’ mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.” Proverbs 18:7
“Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.” Romans 2:1
“Do not judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged and criticized and condemned yourselves. For just as you judge and criticize and condemn others you will be judged and criticized and condemned in accordance with the measure you deal out to others it will be dealt out again to you.” Matthew 7:1-2
Satan was given a powerful anointing by God and his title was the ‘anointed covering cherub’. It is very possible that satan retained his anointing even when he was cast from heaven for the Bible says: This is what God’s Word says about him:
“You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you.” Ezekiel 28:14
“The Lord’s gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.” Romans 11:29
The enemy has taken it upon himself to use his anointing to cover the eyes of the understanding of mankind through deception. This ‘cover’ or veil can blind us to the fact that we are in a battle with a real enemy for our eternal lives. Most os us are so busy with life and its difficulties that we don’t think about. Turning the tables on him, or even think about the source or root of our problems.
“In fact, their minds were grown hard and calloused for until this present day, when the Old Testament is being read, that same veil still lies on their hearts, not being lifted to reveal that in Christ it is made void and done away. Yes, down to this very day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies upon their minds and hearts.” 2 Corinthians 3:14-15
You may be wondering if there is an area where a veil (which has created a spiritual barrier) has been cast over the eyes of your understanding. One way to tell is if you find yourself dealing with the same problems again and again. Seek the Lord; He has be prepared a way for you to be free. He is waiting for you in the courtroom. The Courtroom is where He will reveal truth and expose lies. He is looking to set you free.
Read to this verse carefully:
“Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only he who does the will of my father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? The I will tell them plainly, I never knew you. Away from me you evildoers!” Matthew 7:21-23
We are each responsible for our walk with the Lord. Don’t’ follow anyone’s teachings blindly! Check everything with Scripture so when Judgment comes, you are ready.
Protocol for entering the courtroom:
As you prepare to enter in prayer, listen for the Holy Spirit and He will help you to pray as you ought. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you anything in your life that needs repentance and forgiveness. (True repentance means to change your ways. Ask for His grace to be able to truly repent)
- Repent for your sins and ask the Judge to move you into the Throne Room of Grace and Mercy.
- Stand in the gap for the person/situation; repent on behalf of their sins that have given the enemy a legal right to work in their life. Ask that hearts will be softened and ready to repent for themselves.
3. Petition the Judge to move the case from the Courtroom of Judgment to the Throne Room of Grace and Mercy.
4. Execute the judgment written against the accuser.
- Praise the Father, Son and Holy Spirit for the perfect resolution of your case. There are many scriptures you can use.
- Once the case is settled in the Courtroom of Heaven, praise Him for the victory by continuing to decree what He has promised in His word pertaining to your case.
