Spiritual Warfare is a LIFESTYLE. So we must guard our salvation.
Tips for keeping your heart pure:
- Minister with many but fellowship with few.
- Walk wisely in the things of God.
- Have no judgments.
4.Guard everything God has given you.
5.Take regular assessments to see where you are in the faith currently.
We have the power and authority of Jesus Christ to make something happen.
“Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.” Hebrews 2:1
In the natural, if you let one termite in your home, you will suffer a heap of destruction. If this is true in the natural realm, how much more in the spirit realm? The devil will attempt to chip away at your life of faith until you become a passive Believer.
“So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:16
Things to look out for:
- Watch out for a spirit of passivity! (If you don’t keep yourself alert, this could happen to you. The sin of drifting away is like a python wrapping around you, slowly choking the life of God’s spirit out of you.
- The enemy wants to neutralize your mind to control how you see God.
- The enemy wants to harden your heart.
- The enemy will try to get your eyes off God and keep your attention on the problem.
- Your mouth needs to speak God’s promises over your family and relationship with God.
- Stay connected to God’s voice and His word to help you fight the good fight.
How do we stay close to God?
- Obey His voice.
- Maintain contact throughout the day.
- Be mindful of distractions and put a cap on them.
- Honor God with your time by putting Him first.
- Have an altar of worship in your heart.
- Stay grateful.
- Have an active prayer life.
- Examine ourselves and our spiritual condition to avoid drifting.
Prayer of release from the Spirit of Python and Passivity:
“Heavenly Father,
I break every passive spirit and spirit of Ahab over the altar of my heart.
I exchange my cold and stony heart for a heart of flesh; to worship you with all my mind, body, soul and spirit.
I break every curse, every pattern and stronghold. The drifting away stops today!
I smash with the blood of Jesus every passive altar. I pour the fire of God over ever Satanic altar keeping me from worshiping you.
I break the neck of every mocking spirit mocking the name of Jesus my King. I quench the breath of the spiritual slumber, seeking to steal the oxygen from my relationship with Christ.
I destroy the patterns of destruction that have repeated through my family bloodline. Every pattern and cycle coming against my sensitivity to sanctification of my spirit and submission of my flesh, I break in the name of Jesus.
Every Passive spirit, Ahab spirit, victim mentality, spirit of narcissism, water and cobra spirits, deaf and dumb spirits, spirits that cause spiritual blindness—you are uprooted and I quench you with the fire of the Holy Ghost.
I declare right now I will live and not die; that I will be strong in my faith! I will magnify God with my voice and actions.
No weapon formed against me will prosper. God prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
I declare every stronghold of distraction, apathy, passivity, narcissism, and victim mindset is broken today in the name of Jesus.
Holy Spirit, breathe upon me and my whole being so I can be filled with the faith and power to move upwards and take others with me. Lord, resurrect every failed dream and mission the enemy quenched. Redeem lost time and opportunities with your grace, mercy and favor. In Jesus’ name, Amen!”
