Use this EVERY time you hear teaching — AI or human
1. Does this teaching clearly name SIN?
“He will convict the world of sin.” — John 16:8
Red flag if:
• sin is renamed “brokenness”
• repentance is absent
• accountability is avoided
If sin disappears, truth has left the room.
2. Does it demand OBEDIENCE or only offer AFFIRMATION?
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.” — John 14:15
Red flag if:
• obedience is called “legalism”
• commands are reframed as “suggestions”
• conviction is labeled “harmful”
Biblical love confronts.
3. Is Scripture treated as FINAL or FLEXIBLE?
“Your word is truth.” — John 17:17
Red flag if:
• culture interprets Scripture
• Scripture is “reimagined”
• verses are dismissed as “contextual”
God’s Word does not evolve.
4. Does it increase FEAR OF GOD or decrease it?
“Work out your salvation with fear and trembling.” — Philippians 2:12
Red flag if:
• judgment is avoided
• hell is dismissed
• accountability is minimized
No fear of God = false wisdom.
5. Does it exalt CHRIST or HUMAN REASON?
“We preach Christ crucified.” — 1 Corinthians 1:23
Red flag if:
• experts are quoted more than Scripture
• psychology replaces repentance
• consensus replaces conviction
Truth is revealed, not voted on.
6. Does it lead to REPENTANCE or SELF-TRUST?
“Deny yourself.” — Luke 9:23
Red flag if:
• self-acceptance replaces surrender
• “be true to yourself” replaces dying to self
• personal truth replaces God’s truth
Christianity kills self — it doesn’t affirm it.
7. Does it prepare you for PERSECUTION or COMFORT?
“All who desire to live godly… will be persecuted.” — 2 Timothy 3:12
Red flag if:
• following Jesus is portrayed as easy
• suffering is avoided
• cost is never mentioned
False teaching avoids the cross.
