“There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18
My Precious One,
Your life is filled with daily challenges and many chances to choose. There are many options and attached to them could be thread of fear or the invitation to trust my love and care for you. If you decide to accept fear, all lot of other stuff comes with it (anxiety, despair and hopelessness).
You were created to be rooted in the richness of my love. I am The Great Gardner. Lovingly, I attend to my children and provide all that’s needed. Some are in a season of soaking in the warmth of my love. That’s the easy part….
Staying still as The Great Gardner trims away at branches (that feel like a part of you) is a necessary challenge and many of my children struggle to embrace this crucial process. It’s painful and can feel lonely…but growth and strength are being developed.
In my loving kindness, I never force you to hurry up and do the things that are beneficial to you; I never expect you to go through this process in silence or isolation. I am here, always walking with you, helping you navigate. My hope is that you trust in my deep, abiding love and accept that every stage of your spiritual growth and health is important. My desire is that you become so saturated in my love that no matter what season you’re in, you find the joy and beauty in it.
It goes against human nature to accept trials and dark seasons as a necessary way of building depth, strength and integrity and many are hung up on the notion that being ‘blessed ‘looks a certain way—that abundance and prosperity comes without a struggle or heartache. This is such a superficial way to understand blessing!
The blessing of my unconditional love allows everything (good and bad) to be for your benefit. In times of peace and abundance, acknowledge me-not for my benefit but for yours. In times of difficulty, acknowledge my presence and good nature; this will help you regain your strength in me.
The enemy will work to throw a bag over your head, intimidating you with fear and darkness. This bag seems dark, scary and suffocating. But, my precious one, if you listen for my voice, you will hear me say, “Look closer.” The bag is filled with holes. If you relax, you’ll be able to breathe my air and see my light glistening through its pin holes. Even though the bag is uncomfortable, if you soak in my presence, your roots can still burst thought it. This proves that nothing can stand in the way of my love. Many of my children choose fear when darkness is thrown upon them. They don’t hear my voice because they’re occupied with hyperventilating. Trust in my sustaining love; from it flows the peace that makes no sense.
